About the Role:On behalf of NIRA Control AB, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud-IoT PC Applications Systems Engineer. In this role, you will play a central part in developing innovative IoT-driven applications and systems for motor control solutions. You will collaborate closely with firmware and software teams, as well as global customers, to create cutting-edge technology that shapes the future of connected systems.
Example of Work Tasks:
Design, develop, and implement PC-based applications for IoT systems and motor control solutions.
Perform and lead functional validation of software and firmware throughout the development cycle.
Develop and maintain cloud-based applications on AWS for data processing, storage, and analytics.
Utilize communication protocols like XCP and UDS for system diagnostics and monitoring.
Conduct testing, debugging, and optimization of C#, C++, and Python code.
Work in Linux environments to develop robust, scalable solutions for IoT-driven projects.
Manage software releases and ensure the timely delivery of products according to specifications.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying them to innovative solutions.

To Thrive in This Role, You Should:
Have a strong interest in understanding customer needs and applications.
Be hands-on and willing to validate systems, including on-site customer visits (travel may be required).
Have a genuine interest in things that move – cars, boats, planes, or other internal combustion engine-based solutions.

Primary Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in C#, C++, and Python programming.
Solid experience in C-coding and firmware development.
Strong background in functional validation of software and systems.
Expertise in working with Linux environments.
Hands-on experience with Cloud AWS infrastructure.
Knowledge of communication protocols such as XCP and UDS.
Passion for or experience in industries such as automotive, marine, remote monitoring, or IoT.

You will support customers throughout the entire process—from specification and prototyping to certification and mass production.
Example of Work Tasks:
Develop specifications in collaboration with Cloud and Application engineers.
Experience of Embedded C-code development
Develop and conduct functionality tests during the development cycle, both in the lab and on customer applications.
Manage software releases.
Document strategies, including software design descriptions and handbooks.
Ensure the timely delivery of agreed-upon products with the correct scope.

To thrive in this role, you should have a strong interest in understanding your clients and their applications. You will need to be hands-on, validating systems and occasionally meeting clients on-site, which may require travel.
Required Skills and Experience
Have a relevant university degree e.g. within computer science, electrical, mechatronicsengineering or similar
Have a strong interest in Application Software Development that you have either acquiredthrough studies or own projects
Experience in C language with a focus on embedded systems
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
Ability to implement functionality in C#
Fluent English in both speech and writing
