Role summary
You’ll build and operate our imagery ETL: automated ingest from open/commercial sources, a searchable metadata catalog, cloud-optimized/tiled storage, and model-ready datasets. You own orchestration, reliability, data quality; handoff to MLEs for cost monitoring and production model serving.
What you’ll do
Automate ingestion (e.g., Sentinel/Landsat and commercial feeds), harmonize provider metadata to STAC, and build a searchable STAC catalog.
Implement preprocessing: cloud masking, mosaicking, pyramids/tiling, geospatial indexing (GeoParquet/PostGIS).
Orchestrate pipelines with Airflow/Prefect; optimize compute/storage (S3/GCS, COGs, partitioning).
Stand up reliable batch/online model serving with containers/Kubernetes and proper queuing/scaling.
Monitor timeliness, availability, and costs; trigger alerts for anomalies/spikes.
Ensure reproducibility (MLflow/Kubeflow/CI/CD), strong logging/observability, and clear data schemas/APIs to the platform.

Must-have
3+ years as a data engineer; hands-on EO preprocessing with rasterio/xarray preferred.
Strong Python; experience with GCS, containers, and Kubernetes.
Proven orchestration with Airflow/Prefect and production observability.
Geodata modeling (PostGIS/GeoParquet) and tile-serving strategies.
Practical MLOps exposure—delivered batch/online inference to real users.
Manage a parallel compute framework (Spark or Ray) for large-scale imagery processing.

Nice-to-have

Role summary
The focus will be on creating the data, training and inference pipelines, and productionizing EO-specific computer-vision models (segmentation, detection, temporal) and operational dynamics at industrial sites. Your work goes end-to-end: data, modeling, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining integrated into our product platform.
What you’ll do
Build and fine-tune models for multispectral/SAR imagery (e.g., U-Net, Mask R-CNN, temporal networks).
Create reproducible training pipelines (data versioning, augmentation for multi-band/SAR, robust eval suites).
Define domain-aware metrics (m³ volume estimation, per-AOI precision/recall, temporal deltas).
Select fit-for-purpose XAI methods per model and build/maintain physics-aware validation against ground truth.
Partner with data engineers to ship scalable batch/online inference (tiling/COGs, caching, batching).
Set up model monitoring, drift detection, and scheduled retraining (MLflow/Kubeflow/CI).
Contribute to platform APIs and features for visualisation and alerting.



Must-have
3+ years in ML; hands-on satellite/multispectral and/or SAR data.
Strong in PyTorch or TensorFlow; practical experience with U-Net/Mask R-CNN and temporal methods.
Proven experience building reproducible pipelines.
Solid understanding of EO artefacts (clouds, shadows, atmospheric effects) and their impact on models.
Proficient in Python; familiar with EO libraries (GDAL, rasterio, xarray); and experienced with CI/CD, Kubernetes, MLflow on GCP or AWS.



Nice-to-have
Experience with volume estimation from overhead imagery, sensor fusion, SAR techniques.
Pansharpening, mosaicking, and production deployments in cloud environments.
Cost-aware inference at scale (GPU/spot, tiling/COGs, smart batching).
Experience with spatial evaluation metrics.

ALD Automotive Nordic is looking for a Data Architect to work at our Stockholm offices. At ALD Automotive, we are building the “Nordic Data Office” team – a completely new team that will be responsible for improving the use of data throughout the organization. The team’s first milestone is to build a new, integrated data warehouse to serve the four Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland), while maintaining a shared Nordic infrastructure and framework. As our new Data Architect, you will be the local point of contact in Sweden, but you will be taking on tasks for the entire Nordic region.

As a Data Architect, you will be using Microsoft Server BI stack combined with the Power BI service on Azure. You will use Data Vault 2.0 models combined with Dimensional models for our data marts in the data access layer. An automation tool (possible candidates are BimlFlex or Wherescape) will be used to build the data warehouse, and, thus, the role of the Data Architect is extremely important for the success of the data warehouse.

Your responsibilities
As a Data Architect, you will be collaborating closely with the entire business, and together with the other Data Architects, you will own and be responsible for the delivery/facilitation of:
- Data Vault Models (Raw + Business Vault).
- Dimensional Modelling Workshops.
- Enterprise Bus Matrix.
- Dimensional Models (data marts).
- Source to Target Data Mapping.
- Data Profiling.
- Data Dictionaries.
- Reconciliation & Data Quality automation.

You will also take part in the overall architecture of the data warehouse, including:
- Setting and implementing the automation tool.
- Integration to the Power BI service (Corporate Data Flows, Shared Data Sets).
- End user coaching and mentoring on using the data warehouse.

Your qualifications and competencies
We expect that you have previously participated in data modelling sessions, you know what a bus matrix is as well as why business processes are relevant for a good dimensional model, and you understand the basics of data vault modelling techniques. You understand the need for an integrated data warehouse, and you can document experience with integrating data from multiple sources to a single business data warehouse model. You have at least 3 years of experience in delivering data warehouse projects in general.

It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with automation tools such as Wherescape or BimlFlex.
- Experience with BEAM* Modelstorming by Lawrence Corr.
- Experience with leasing and vehicle data.
- Adriver’s license B.
To succed in the Data Architect role, you have a high drive and can work independently. You are structured and process-oriented, while you also possess an analytical mindset focused on quality. Furthermore, you speak and write English effortlessly.
