About the role
Mycronic is a Swedish high-tech company and has been a trusted partner to electronics and display manufacturers worldwide for over 50 years. From the very beginning, when Mycronic introduced the world’s first laser-based mask writer, their innovations have been driven by two main sources, their customers and their employees. All high-resolution screens you see, whether it's a TV, phone, tablet, Apple Watch, etc., they are made with Mycronic’s machines, and that´s the technology you will work with. As an R&DProject; Manager/Assignment Leader, you will belong to the larger group “System Design, Verification & Technology Center”, consisting of 19 colleagues within areas such as system architecture and system engineering. Within this organization, you will work closely in a smaller core team of three, including another Project Manager/Assignment Leader and your immediate manager. In addition to your closest team, you will collaborate with a lot of different functions within Mycronic, such as other R&D teams, sales, other project managers and operations.

Work tasks
Here, you will have the opportunity to be at the very center of innovation and Mycronic’s development. You lead meetings, gather ideas from across the organization, coordinate discussions, and deliver presentations to both technical teams and management groups.
You will work on several projects in parallel, typically lasting from a couple of months to a few years depending on the scope. One example could be driving the evaluation of early-stage concepts to enable well-informed strategic decisions. The role may also involve exploring product development opportunities when entering new markets, as well as identifying smart ways to apply new technologies to products and development processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
Develop and manage project plans and schedules
Drive and monitor project performance and implement necessary adjustments to ensure objectives are met
Create the right prerequisites needed for the projects members to succeed
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, budget and progress
Drive improvements of work methods and tools within your area
The role may also include some customer contact, discussing new features or handling product improvements and adjustments.

A bachelor- och masters´s degree preferably within engineering physics or similar

Ansvarsområden
As a Technical Documentation Writer, you will work with the technical documentation and information for our products, such as data sheets, manuals, and other instructions. You will mainly work in New Product Development projects, as well as updating and maintaining existing technical information. We are in a developing phase for the technical information with changes in processes and tools, which opens up for new ideas and workflows.
 Maintain and update existing technical information in accordance with the latest product version
 Be responsible for creating technical information in New Product Development projects
 Develop and support our working process to optimize workflow

You will report to Technical Documentation Team Manager and the position is for now based in Täby (in August the office will move to Mörby), north of Stockholm, Sweden. 

Kvalifikationer
To be successful in this role, we believe you act on own initiatives, make things happen and accept responsibility for the results. You have a methodical and systematic approach and can define clear priorities. It is important that you cooperate well with others in terms of sharing knowledge, experience, and information, as well as supporting your colleagues in the pursuit of your common goals.

Skills, knowledge, and experience.
We beleve you have:
3+ years of work experience from technical documentation or as a technical writer
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Strong skills in Adobe InDesign
Good knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Strong skills in MS Word and other Microsoft Office tools
Excellent English skills, both verbal and written.
Experience from working in inRiver or other PIM systems is an advantage
Experience from working in CCMS software and/or CMS systems is an advantage
Experience from working with CPQ software is an advantage

Arbetet kommer först och främsta att bestå av:
Konstruktion och beräkning av objektiv till våra IR-kameror
Simulering och utvärdering av optiska system och systemprestanda
Konstruktion av optiska mätmetoder och mätbänkar
Upprättande av tekniska specifikationer och verifieringsmetoder för optik
Ansvara för lasertillämpningarna i våra produkter

I denna roll är det viktigt att du är självständig men samtidigt fungerar väl i en grupp eftersom mestadels av vår utveckling sker i olika spännande och utmanande projekt. Samarbetet i dessa projekt kommer att ske tillsammans med våra duktiga mekanister, detektorexperter och bild-behandlare. I uppgiften ingår också att ge tekniskt stöd åt vår produktion av linser, som är en del av Optics and Sensor Systems. Du kommer också att jobba med stöd åt andra enheter inom företaget, såsom marknad, inköp och kameraproduktion.
Den du är idag
Du bör ha en akademisk examen, gärna med forskningsbakgrund inom området teknisk fysik eller liknande och helst några års yrkeserfarenhet av geometrisk optik och linskonstruktion.
Om du är en person som är duktig socialt och kan använda det till vårt breda kontaktnät i hela koncernen och särskilt våra utvecklingsenheter i USA är du rätt person för oss. Vi ser gärna att du är analytiskt lagd men också besitter en välutvecklad praktisk förmåga att genomföra experiment och mätningar. Du har även goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, både i tal och skrift.
